Your B&B-On TV?  May 27 - June 1, 2008 is your opportunity!
Television advertising is a great way to demonstrate the uniqueness of your B& B, but often the costs of production and buying air time makes commercial television impossible for small businesses.
Now, Wisconsin Public Television offers you a unique opportunity to promote your B&B on TV without those costs, through an in-kind (no cash outlay) donation to our live televised auction.
The WHA-TV Auction, presented by the Friends of WHA-TV, INC., the citizen support group for Wisconsin Public Television, airs for 48 hours on Tuesday through Sunday, May 27 - June 1, 2008.  This live televised event that reaches over 311,000 households in the south central Wisconsin market and people (typically active consumers with disposable income) who tune in are eager to buy.
The amount of promotional air time your B&B property receives is based on the rack rate/dollar amount of your donation.  Donations of $125-$249 receive approximately 30 seconds of coverage, including a narrative and 'zoom in' of a photo of the B&B, and two additional mentions by B&B name regarding the bid status and final bid award.  A donation of $250-$499 receives two 30-second coverage's and the following mentions, and a donation of $500 receives four 30-second coverage's and the following mentions.
To participate, innkeepers would submit a brochure, photo, a few descriptive sentences, and the "certificate" for their donation.  Packages or specials are encouraged, the offer must be valid for at least 6 months (preferably one year), 'black out' times are permitted, but contingences (buy one night-get one night free, second person free, etc.) are not permitted.  Due date is April 15th; for more information or to participate contact:
Wisconsin Public Television's non-commercial service provides the residents of Wisconsin access to educational, informational and entertainment programming produced nationally and locally.  WPT stations include WHA-TV in Madison , WPNE-TV in Green Bay , WHRM-TV Wausau, WLEF-TV in Park Falls , WHLA-TV in
