Located just minutes from Bayfield, Wisconsin the Apple Grove Inn is the perfect place to relax, reflect and enjoy the pristine beauty of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Beautifully restored in 2004, the Apple Grove Inn was once owned by renowned, rural Wisconsin artist, John Black and his wife Ruby. Enjoy the fruits, berries & vegetables, grown organically in our own orchard for your breakfast each morning, and be inspired by the beautiful countryside of Lake Superior from our front porch, gazebo and extensive perennial gardens. As a Wisconsin certified Travel Green business, we are proud to let our guests know that we reuse, recycle and buy local whenever possible.

We offer four rooms, each distinctively decorated with Bayfield antiquities and all have a private bath (with shower), electric fireplaces, CD player/radio, wine glasses, and 100% cotton guest robes. New in 2008 - wide screen HDTV in all guest rooms. The Lake Room features two twin beds, convertible to a King size, and the Studio, Orchard and Gardens Rooms have queen size beds. A guest refrigerator is available and central A/C and wireless internet are accessible throughout the Inn.

So, find a comfortable chair on our front porch and watch a sunrise, take a stroll through the orchard and watch the bluebirds feed or meander on our brick pathway to the gazebo and enjoy the distant views of Lake Superior. Whatever you decide, it’s a wonderful way to start your day in Bayfield.
