O'Neill Manor B&B

Welcome to O'Neill Manor Bed and Breakfast.  We are a new B&B in a 120 year old historic Victorian home in Neillsville, Clark County, WI.  We are in the heart of the community, located on 3 acres with over 600 feet of water front on O'Neill Creek.  Our home, listed on the National, State and Local Historic Registries, was built in 1892 by John Hein, who was a local lumberman and merchant.  The house was one of the first electric homes in the community and some of the original electric workings can be seen in the rooms.  The house has been updated for your comfort, but retains its historic look.  There are wood floors throughout the house and all of the woodwork, including the fireplace mantel and fretwork, retains its original antique patina.

Silent Sports Activities abound in the Clark County Area.  With over 120,000 acres of public forest land and the Black River and its tributaries, you can spend days hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing, fishing, geocaching and horseback riding.  Many of these activities can be done right from the Manor without having to get into your car.  We have access to 3 to 5 miles of single track trails that are available to our guests only.  Four sheltered horse stalls are also available at Spring Pond Farm to board your horse.  We have additional locked storage available for your bikes, canoes, skis, kayaks, and other sports equipment.

Shopping at our local antique stores, Amish stores, nurseries, farmers' markets, cheese factories, wineries and other specialty markets and shops will keep you busy if the outdoors is not for you.  Come in the spring and see a huge selection of plants, or come for one of the four horse auctions each year, or come and just people watch in an area that takes you back to a slower, more relaxing time.

Rooms
We have four rooms/suites, all have private attached baths that include a shower.  Two rooms have two person spa tubs.  Each room has its own personality, so please look at the descriptions and pictures provided and feel free to call with any questions.

The Manor Room
The largest suite in the house.  This room is an ideal honeymoon setting (or just a good place to relax) with its incredibly massive king sized bed surrounded by carved pillars and flowing canopy. Tour the area and pick up that special bottle of wine from the Munson Bridge Winery.  Then relax and enjoy your wine in the bay window sitting area, or--for the adventurous--take your wine to the Manor Room's champagne bubbler two person air tub for a soothing romantic bath.

The Cottage Room
After an adventurous day Clark County, the Cottage Room will help you reflect on the calming influence of the country side.  Soft relaxing colors in shades of the outdoors will remind you of your day while you soak in the soothing Kohler two person corner whirlpool. The Cottage Room is cozy and quiet, allowing you to find the peaceful relaxation you seek. After enjoying the whirlpool, the queen sized canopy bed with whispery curtains surrounds you while you sleep.  The Cottage Room--a wonderful place to return too after a day of hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing or horseback riding.

The Parlor Room
The Parlor Room is conveniently located on the first floor, close to all the common rooms of the house. An easy location for someone who wants to enjoy the history of the home but have all the conveniences at easy reach. The Parlor Room features large windows with custom beveled glass and beautiful historic wallpaper--entering is like walking into your own personal Victorian dream.  After your day enjoying area shops, antique stores and Amish nurseries or just wandering the countryside, return to the Parlor Room's queen sized antique bed with beautiful linens. Just close the lovely original antique pocket doors and enjoy your own personal retreat.

The Morning Room
When you stay at the O'Neill Manor, you will surely enjoy this airy and spacious room.  After your previous day's activities, you will wake up in the Morning Room to the dawn's rising sun streaming into the triple east facing windows. You will wake refreshed in your Queen sized white iron bed.  Decorated with a Victorian Gentleman's theme, the Morning Room contains many unique features, including a rounded wall, Victorian wallpaper and antique East Lake gentleman's dresser.
