In the early 1900's Philip Lingelbach built this lovely home for his wife Minnie. They had four sons and Mr. Lingelbach ran the Oconto brewrey for some years.
In 1998, we purchased this grand home with intentions of turning it into a bed and breakfast. We have done major renovations to the second floor, where all the guest bedrooms are located. There are two bedrooms with king beds and double size whirlpool tubs and showers. The Lingelbach Room has a queen bed, the original claw foot tub and some of their family photos grace it's walls. All bedrooms have their own private bath and CD player.
Recently we have opened another sitting room for our guests on the second floor with two exercise machines, TV, books, futon, refrigerator (stocked with bottled water), a microwave and snacks. We also have wireless internet, a fax and copy machine for our business travelers.
There are three common area rooms on the first floor for the guests. A parlor (with TV, DVD and VHS recorder, CD player, books and games), living room and dining room, where guests enjoy a full hot breakfast served at 8:30 a.m.
We have a very large wrap around porch where guests enjoy sitting in warmer weather sipping lemonade.
Kelli, our massage therapist, is now available to give massages that take away the tension and leave you relaxed.
Here at the Rose of Sharon, you can be pampered in more ways than one.
