About Crystal River Inn Bed and Breakfast

Crystal River Inn is a historic 1853 farmstead turned Bed & Breakfast over 30 years ago.  The Inn is located on the Crystal River in Rural just minutes from Waupaca, Wisconsin and the Chain of Lakes.  Rural is a quaint and historic village with rich history and beauty every season of the year.  Many people who visit characterize the community as a New England village in the heart of Wisconsin.  Walk the village streets and observe the beautiful historic homes as the Crystal River peacefully flows and winds throughout the village.

Crystal River Inn is a Certified Wildlife Perserve on 11.5 acres where you can explore and enjoy an abundance of wildlife, birds and native prairie flowers.  Explore the picturesque historic barns, artesian well and experience the relaxation and meditation while walking the labyrinth in the prairie. We are proud to be a certified Travel Green inn.  We serve organic and fair trade coffee and tea, farm fresh eggs, organic and locally sourced food. Breakfast is an experience of enjoying the serenity of the Crystal River flowing by as you savor the multicourse breakfast.

The Inn offers six guest rooms with antique furnishings, a view of the river and/or woods, and a nook for reading or visiting. Guest rooms include private baths and most rooms include a fireplace. Two first floor rooms each have a private entrance and a double whirlpool tub.

Our three Crystal River Cottages are open year round.  The Little House on the Prairie sleeps 6, The Granary sleeps 6 and The Coop is a perfect romantice getaway for 2.
