William Rhodes, a local grocer, contracted architect W.W. Delong to design this historic 1897 Victorian home. DeLong included a double air space principle by building a double vestibule at the front entrance. The original oak pocket doors, grand oak staircase, lovely oak and maple hardwood floors, window seats, high ceilings, oriental rugs, stained glass windows, and old chandeliers give you the warm feeling of yesteryear. The home is listed on the Wisconsin State Historic Record and as part fo the City Park Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
